Terms and Conditions


  1. The Staff on duty at any given time during cinema operating hours reserve the right to refuse admission to any member of the public and if a person or persons are disturbing other customers they can be asked to leave the premises without the recall to a refund.
  2. Once purchased cinema tickets are non refundable and can not be redeemed for cash.
  3. Car parking spaces within the Drive-In Cinema are on a first come first served basis and will not be reserved for either online bookings or tickets purchased at the cash desk. VIP spaces may be available at screenings and these are positioned in the first two rows – these will be advertised at an additional premium rate.
  4. Cars must book online and are required to be at the cinema 30 minutes before movie start time if they are not their admission is not guaranteed.
  5. All drivers are to follow the instructions of parking stewards and cinema staff at all times for their own safety and the safety of others attending.
  6. If a customer wishes to leave during the showing of a movie they are to alert cinema staff and wait to be guided out by them from the premises, this may be in the planned interval.
  7. Drive-In Films or any employees or associates will not be liable or held responsible for any cars or vehicles of any kind that are damaged or have goods or items taken or stolen from them or for any vehicle collisions that may occur or injuries caused to any individual or person as a result of a collision.
  8. By purchasing a car parking ticket for the Drive-In cinema, drivers and any persons traveling in the vehicle are accepting these terms and conditions.
  9. Cinema tickets are sold online by Drive In Films for the relevant, dated performance. In buying tickets through the website, the customer accepts these terms and conditions once valid payment is processed. The customer’s booking confirmation email is the ticket they must show (printed or via mobile phone) for entry to the Drive-In Films site.
  10. Drive-In Films reserve the right to amend any films, offers and prices at any time
  11. We request that when using your car stereo or portable battery powered FM receiver to listen to the sound track for the event that this is achieved at a reasonable and modest sound level. This way you and the fellow attendees can have a pleasant experience. It also reduces possible noise pollution in the local area. We thank you for your co-operation. Excessive noise disturbance (defined and judged by the event organisers) may result in you being asked to leave the venue if the excessive noise is not reduced.
  12.  Cars will be parked in a designated area when on site, this area may for some events be in a grass field. We check the field for objects and set car parking spaces to reduce risks, however, we accept no responsibility or liability for any damage to cars whilst on site.


13. Entry to Drive-In Cinema

Gates open for vehicles from 30 mins prior to the screening time, e.g. 4.45pm for a 5.15pm start time.

Admission to the events are in three parts to booking.

  • Car park ticket for the vehicle
  • Event admission ticket per person
  • You also get the option to add a refreshment package, we encourage you to do so to help us all avoid any unnecessary risks, to make the experience work well and to support the local facility provider.

Only customers in possession of valid tickets will be admitted into the area to which the ticket relates and admission will be permitted only for the duration of the performance specified by the ticket. At the time of purchase, customers should check that their email receipt’s details are correct as this cannot be later exchanged or refunded in the event of any error. You may only use the ticket once – we use QR code readers for tickets and the system confirm if the ticket has been used on that day. If a ticket presented has been used already then subsequent attempted users will be refused entry, please keep your tickets safe and secure.


13a.Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis, with the exception of VIP spaces which may (if offered) occupy the first 2 rows, arriving early is advised.


14. Vehicles that are in excess of 5ft 1 inch from the ground to the top of the car (including roof rack/box) may be requested to park towards the back half of the venue away from the screen.

15. It is at the Drive-In’s discretion to allow any latecomers admittance. They may be walked into position (lights off) so as not to disturb vehicles already parked. There is NO admittance once the film or performance has begun and no refunds for latecomers after that time. Customers arriving at a cancelled screening will be offered an alternative screening or a full refund.


  1. For some shows we may use FM transmission of the sound and your vehicle will need to have an FM receiver and speakers to hear the audio tracks from the movies. We cannot be held responsible for interference or poor reception by your devices. For some cars they can have inbuilt digital processors that cause lip sync issues outside of the control of drive in films. Our sound is synced with a standard analogue receiver on site.


Safety & Security

  1. Drive-In Cinema reserves the right to refuse the entry onto its premises of any person who is believed to be overly intoxicated and may require any person or customer who is believed to be overly intoxicated to leave the premises immediately without any entitlement to a refund.


  1. No customer is allowed to bring any illegal substances or weapons onto the premises. Anyone found in possession of such items will be refused entry or will be required to leave the premises immediately without any entitlement to a refund. We take such matters seriously and will without exception report any incident to the police.


  1. All vehicle occupants must be eligible for the appropriate film rating and must provide valid ID if requested. We will refuse entry to anyone deemed underage (we use challenge 21 as our policy) for any screening without any entitlement to a refund.


  1. We will be guided by the English Government during restrictions relating to COVID19. We will adhere to all relevant policies and practices and require all attendees to also do this at all times.


  1. You agree to co-operate with any request to view your vehicle and its contents for illegal or controlled substances and will co-operate fully when requested to do so by a site representative.


22. Facilities

Food & Drink – All of the host facilities used are licensed premises and as such it is not possible to bring food or beverages from outside.

Our food partners offer are a selection of cinema food, drink and snacks for example this may include; hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, soft drinks and hot drinks. There is a collection kiosk and/or drop off only service for refreshments to help keep people safe, we would like to encourage customers to not leave their cars unless necessary for a restroom break and to keep social distance as outlined by local health authority guidelines.

Movie goers are also asked to place all waste in the bags provided or take it home with you for disposal.

Where delivery to your car is an option our food partners aim to have your order to you within 25 minutes of live ordering and/or arrival at the venue for pre-ordered food. If you have not received your order after this time please email support@driveinfilms.co.uk and we will escalate the matter to the onsite team leader.

All food and drink consumed on site must be purchased from site, you may be ejected from the site if you bring in your own food and drink.

Restrooms will operate on a limited people allowed in at any one time – please stay 2 meters apart when queueing – and a janitor will be on hand to help control access, maintain cleanliness and maintain appropriate social distances.


Disabled Access – All areas of the site are suitable for disabled access. There are stewards on hand throughout each screening to help guide customers to toilets if required, there are disabled access toilets on site etc.


First Aid – First Aid support will be situated near the production vehicle. A fully trained First Aider will be present throughout each screening.


23. Adverse Weather Conditions – As Drive In Events are running outdoors some bad weather conditions may causes a postponement to showings that is out of our control. If the conditions are deemed by the organiser to be too windy or wet to safely and enjoyably run the event we may postpone at any time – a postponement in time on that day or a exchange ticket to a future event will be offered. A refund will only be provided where a postponed event is not rearranged within the following 12 months.


24. Event Cancellation – In the event of a cancellation of the event by Drive In Films, for any reason other than events outside of the control of the organiser such as poor weather conditions, the following procedure will be followed;

  • An email will be sent to all customers who have booked online for that night’s screening
  • If it is cancelled on the day of the show, staff will be positioned at the Main Entrance Gate to inform customers of cancellation in case they have not seen or received the email notification
  • Drive In Films reserve the right to cancel or substitute film screenings due to low or zero ticket sales, any customers included in this situation will be informed separately.
  • If the film has not started then you will receive a refund of the ticket and car parking charges (please note administration booking fees for events are non refundable). You will also receive a refund for any undelivered refreshments.


25. Technical Faults – If there is a loss of power, video or audio staff will endeavour to resolve the issue ASAP. If the movie is interrupted, it will be restarted from the point it stopped. We may if possible use a backup lower powered projector or loud speaker audio system to enable the progression of the film to its conclusion. If it is not be possible to resume the movie in any capacity due to faults beyond our immediate remedy the screening will be postponed or cancelled. If postponed to a future date then an exchange ticket will be offered for this date. If the event is cancelled with no future date provided that falls within the following two months of the original screening date then a refund will be issued.


26. Emergency Procedure – Any member of staff becoming aware of a potential incident or situation will advise the Event Coordinator(s) on site as soon as possible. If there is a potential threat or danger all activities will cease and an announcement made. If evacuation is required, the Event Coordinator(s) will liaise with emergency services and determine the appropriate course of action. All staff will assist where necessary bearing in mind their own personal safety must be kept paramount.
